One of the things that i enjoy doing on a beautiful Saturday morning is to wake up late and have a beautiful brunch at a nice cafe. This time we headed to Artespresso (31 Giles Street, Kingston (02) 6295 8055) which is located in the nice and calm surrounds of Kingston. Artespresso features a trendy and modern decor and has balconies where you can choose to seat as well. The staff wasn't very attentive and took them a while to take our orders.
We ordered a cup of Mocha and two breakfast dishes: Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (poached eggs, hollandaise, English muffins and smoked salmon) and Arte's Big Breakfast (Poached, scrambled or fried eggs, sausages, bacon, confit tomato, spinach, sweet potato rosti, sourdough).
The Mocha tasted alright, but felt like it wasn't done very nicely.
Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict wasn't as well presented as i would have expected from a restaurant that seems to serve beautiful dishes for dinner. Although the eggs were poached beautifully, i didn't enjoy the hollandaise quite as much because it felt a bit too thick and too 'lemony'.
Having big breakfasts are always delightful because you get a plate full of breakfast goodies that will keep up full for a good part of the day! Arte's Big Breakfast was no different but seemingly healthier as it had quite a bit of vegetables and some greens. This was good and i particularly liked the spinach, the mushrooms and the sourdough!

I am obsessed with Artespresso, its one of my local favourites. Love the pictures Yuki, the eggs Beni looks so yummy, but I hear you with the hollandaise, bit hit and miss. Thanks for sharing the breakfast review, have been meaning to do this. :)

I agree, love the new banner. I have to try this place sometime!
An indulgent breakfast to start off a day. Great.
